Our Stories — Will & Maddy

We had the pleasure of catching up with Will & Maddy, a beloved K&K couple, to hear their heartwarming proposal story on a sunrise walk and why they entrusted Kate & Kole to craft their forever ring.

How did you find out about Kate & Kole?

"Maddy followed Kate & Kole on instagram for a long time, and then started paying even more attention when we started looking at rings."

Why did you choose to work with us? Was there anything in particular that drew you and your partner to our brand?

"When a K&K pop up came to Sydney, Maddy booked in and headed down from our home in country NSW. Maddy had a great experience trying on rings on with Sara and Maddy who were super helpful and after that she knew she wanted a ring from K&K. We both enjoyed the elegance and simplicity of the K&K jewellery."

Which ring did you choose for your forever piece, and why?

"We started with the Clara and I took other ideas Maddy had mentioned she liked, then Gabbie from the bespoke team helped me make it happen. Ideas that I thought weren't going to be possible, were made possible."

What was your favourite part of your Kate & Kole experience?

"The design process was actually really enjoyable. I literally had no idea of what I should be doing, where to start or how to get the ideas from my head to a ring. That all happened seamlessly and then seeing how much Maddy loves it every day makes it all very special."

Tell us a little bit about your proposal.

"Maddy and I take an early morning walk everyday with our greyhound Sophie before the sun comes up, we had also just recently purchased a house together in the middle of Orange that we plan on raising our family in.

We decided to walk the dog to the new house one morning and have a look at the sold sign while no one was around, while there I told Maddy that she shouldn't buy houses with people that she isn't married to, she agreed haha. I then said we should fix that and then pulled out your beautiful ring. Not sure if she said yes or what really happened after that, blur of emotions and excitement. But pretty sure we are getting married on the 3rd of May next year, so must of been well received.

Maddy literally comments everyday how much she loves the ring and everyone who lays eyes on it comment how beautiful it is. We are so thankful for all your help and for creating the most beautiful piece we could both ever imagine, I can't begin to explain how perfect it is."
