How do I choose a ring size?
When ordering your Kate & Kole ring you can use this sizing chart to make sure you order the correct size.
If you are unsure about your size we recommend a Medium as this will most likely fit one of your fingers. If ordering a midi ring (worn halfway down your finger) we recommend a XXS or XS. For your middle finger a S/M or M is best. For a thumb or index finger L or XL usually fits. Please contact us if you want any further information.

Is Kate & Kole a Newcastle Jewellery Store?
We are based in Newcastle NSW but sell predominantly online. We do open our studio for bespoke jewellery appointments. Please get in touch if you'd like to arrange a consultation.
How long will it take to receive my Kate & Kole piece?
Each piece is made to order, we are constantly improving our turn around time but as a small team it take two to three weeks to produce your piece of jewellery.
Pieces in our bridal collection VOW can take up 6 weeks to create depending on stone availably. We can ofter turn pieces around quicker, please contact us to discuss your piece and we will do our best to meet your timings.
What if I need it quicker than that?
We do hold a small amount of stock, if you have a urgent order, please contact us to allow us to help you further.
How do I look after my Kate & Kole piece?
Metal is a durable material, but can still scratch. To prevent damage, we recommend storing your item in a soft cloth pouch away from other products, and avoiding exposing to household bleach, which can cause corrosion and discolouration.
Gold can be maintained with most non-abrasive cleaners.
We offer a re-plating service for $15 a piece. Post you piece back to us and we will have in re-dipped for you and returned to you as good as new. This costs $15 + postage.
Can I return my Kate & Kole piece?
If you change your mind, we are happy to exchange your product if returned within 7 workings days. This will include the value of the jewellery but will not cover the postage. If you required a product that isn't currently in stock you will have to wait the made to order period which is up to 3 weeks. Return of sale products is not accepted. Refunds are only issued if a piece is received damaged or broken.

Are Kate & Kole pieces made to order?
If a product is made to order and isn't held on the shelf, a two to three week waiting period can be expected. If a product has been designed especially for you with custom alterations the sale is final. Please get in touch to find out if your product is in stock if you are not happy with the waiting period.
How are Kate & Kole pieces made?
Using a combination of state-of-the-art and traditional jewellery making processes, each Kate & Kole piece is made to order. Our jewellery is sketched out and designed using 3D modeling software. Our collaborators in Sydney then use 3D printing technology to print wax prototypes of our designs. Plaster is then used to create a mould of the prototype and the wax is melted out. Your chosen metal is poured into the mould and allowed to set. The plaster is broken away, and your piece comes to life by being carefully cleaned and hand polished. Perfect! Each piece is available in silver, rose gold or yellow gold.
Where are Kate & Kole pieces made?
Kate & Kole plated and silver jewellery is designed in Newcastle, Australia, it is then 3D printed in Sydney. Our pieces are finished and set by hand in Newcastle.
How does 3D printing work?
3D Printing takes digital files and turns them into physical products. It is often referred to as additive manufacturing, as the product is built up layer by layer in the material of your choosing. 3D Printing refers to several different processes that are applied based on the specific material type, including the most popular, selective laser sintering.
Do Kate & Kole use solid gold?
Yes we use solid 9k and 18k Gold. All Gold products go through extensive hand-polishing to give them a smooth, shiny finish. Yellow Gold has a subtle, warm colouring, Rose Gold has a pinkish tint and White Gold looks similar to a warm silver.
What about chains?
Your order will come with a matching chain. If you order a silver piece, you will receive a silver chain. If you order a solid gold piece it will come with a complimentary 9K solid gold chain.
My stone has fallen out! Help?
All stones are guaranteed for the first 6 months of wear. If a stone falls out of the piece within this time frame we will replace it for you. After 6 months we can work with you to organise a replacement stone and repair. If the piece and the stone has been damaged due to wear and tear we can work with you to replace the stone.
Are you diamonds conflict free?
Because we use mostly lab grown diamonds our diamonds are conflict free, environmentally conscious and indistinguishable from mined diamonds. Read more about our diamonds here.
What about your other stones?
We work closely with our suppliers to choose stones that have been ethically and environmentally sourced. It is incredibly important that when moving into offering diamonds and other stones that we work with our customers and suppliers to choose stones than have the kindest impact on people and the earth.
I'm an Influencer. Can I work with Kate & Kole?
We love working with influencers. We aim for a $100 = 1 post relationship. So if I piece of jewellery is worth $500* we would hope to see 5 post in the three months after you receive your piece of jewellery. Has Covid-19 effected your business?
Covid-19 has impacted our turn around times. We are doing everything we can to continue working with our Australia makers and suppliers. Our chains are made to order for us by a family business in Victoria, while they are still able to operate, they are having to do so at reduced capacity. We are monitoring this and trying to keep our customers as up to date as possible.
