FAQ

Help guessing a size
  • Order our Ring Sizing Kit online - which will be express posted to you the following business day
  • Take a ring that you/your partner wears on that finger into a local jeweller - to determine the Australian letter size.
  • Measure the circumference of the finger with a piece of stringHave her friends take her into a jewellery store under the guise of shopping for themselves, and have her sized as well.

As a note for reference - our most commonly ordered sizes for engagement rings are J, L and O.

How to measure your size
  1. Measuring the internal diameter of an existing ring - Lay a ruler or measuring tape down flat on a table. Place the ring on top and note down the mm measurement inside the circle, as this is the part that is in contact with the finger.
  2. Measuring your finger - Wrap a piece of string around your finger comfortably, not pulling too tight or too loose. Use a marker to note down where the two ends overlap, then measure the string in mm against a ruler.
  3. Use our Ring Sizer Kit - Connect the measuring device at each end, then pull tighter until comfortable around your finger. The letter size showing at the top of the device will show the correct finger size - if the tape is pulled half way between two sizes, your correct size will be a custom half size. E.g Half way between K - L, your finger size is K ½.
Surprising someone?

We know it can be tricky getting the ring size of your lucky recipient just right. Ring sizes change between countries, which can add to the confusion. We recommend using the below as a guide to help you make a stress-free guess.

  • Extra Small | F – G
  • Small | H – J
  • Small/Medium | K – L
  • Medium | M – O
  • Medium/Large | P – Q
  • Large | R – T
  • Extra Large | U+

Our average ring size is L – so if you’re totally unsure, this is a safe place to start. For engagement rings – our most ordered sizes are J, L and O.

Buying for yourself?

For a precise fit, we recommend ordering our Ring Sizer Kit, which is redeemable on your ring purchase. Once ordered, we will post it out to you on the next business day.

Another option is to drop into your local jeweller with a ring you already own and ask them to size it for you using the Australian letter system.

Using our Ring Sizer Kit

Connect the measuring device at each end, then pull tighter until it’s sitting comfortably around your finger.

The letter size that’s shown at the top of the device will indicate your correct ring size. If the tape is pulled halfway between two sizes, then your correct size will be a custom half-size. For Example, halfway between K - L, your finger size is K ½.

DIY Measuring at home

Option one:
Measure the internal diameter of an existing ring.

If you’re measuring a ring at home, then lay the ring down across a ruler or measuring tape, ensuring that you start from 0. MM. You are measuring the internal width inside the ring (not including the
ring itself) from the widest two points across the middle.

Next, use our Ring Size Chart to match the measurement to the corresponding letter.

Option two:
Measure the finger you want to fit.

To measure the finger you’re buying for, grab a ribbon or a piece of string or cut a thin strip of paper and wrap it around your finger. Ensure you are not wrapping too tightly – you want the fit to feel snug and comfortable. Next, mark where the string/ribbon/paper overlaps, then lay flat against a ruler or measuring tape to find the MM measurement.

Helpful tips

A perfectly fit ring should slide over your knuckle with some friction and then sit comfortably snug on your finger.

Keep in mind that at the end of the day, your hands (like your feet) are usually a little more swollen than first thing in the morning.

An increase in temperature, pregnancy and travelling can all affect the fit of your ring.

Measure your finger at the end of the day and keep in mind whether the ring is a wide or thin band, as a wider band will feel slightly snugger than a thin band.
