Taking Care of Your Kate & Kole Jewellery

Caring for Your Kate & Kole Jewellery

  1. Kate & Kole encapsulates classic style reimagined. We offer timeless fine jewellery centred around quality metals, diamonds and stones.

Our jewellery is created by combining modern technology and traditional jewellery practices. Each piece is finished carefully by hand in our working studio in Honeysuckle.

Whilst we believe that the lifespan of our jewellery goes far beyond the purchase we do highly recommend following the care and cleaning advice to assure longevity in your beautiful jewellery.

Jewellery should not rub up against each other, other types of metal or any harsh surfaces, as they will scratch and wear. They also should not take too much weight or force.

Avoid chemicals from coming into contact with your jewellery such as perfumes, sulphur, cosmetic products, chlorine and perspiration.

Our pieces are delicate in nature and can get caught on clothing items or other items unnoticed. For this reason, your jewellery should be put on last after dressing each day and taken off first thing before undressing.

It is recommended that you remove jewellery before sleeping, swimming or exercising to prevent significant wear and tear as well as prevent loss of item.

It's a great idea to store your jewellery in a small box or pouch when not worn to help keep it clean and prevent it from being scratched.

All jewellery purchased from our online store comes in custom packaging that is perfect for this.

Clean your jewellery with mild soap and water, then pat dry with a soft cloth. For more stubborn dirt, use a cleaner designed for gold or silver.

A gold and silver polishing cloth does a lovely job of bringing your jewellery back to new.

Care for your jewellery by limiting exposure and contact with chemicals, perspiration, rubber, chlorinated water, or sulphur substances.

Direct sunlight can also cause jewellery to tarnish, so be sure to take off your pieces before you go swimming and sunbathing.
