  1. A conversation with co-founder Sara

On quiet lessons, playful love, & the gentle confidence passed from one generation to the next

  1. What's a lesson you've carried into motherhood from the woman who shaped you?

I’m so grateful for the women who have influenced my life. I’m trying to find the right word to describe what I want to say — maybe it’s belief, or confidence, or trust. It’s the lesson that what you’re doing is worthwhile and that it’s going to work. It’s not a relentless “keep going,” but more a gentle “you’re heading in the right direction.”
Women often say this quietly—through their perseverance more than their words—and I find that deeply inspiring. I hope it’s something I can pass on to my kids.

  1. “The most natural way to show my kids love is to bounce with them — Reflecting their joy back is how I say: I’m here. I care.”
  1. What gesture or action do you hope your child will come to recognise as a sign of your love?

For me, the most natural way to show my kids love is to bounce with them. Reflecting their play or conversation is just so much fun—I love where it takes the moment. I think it’s something my family did so well, even into our adult years. It becomes a style of conversation, a space where ideas can grow.

  1. If you were dropping a hint for Mother's Day, which K&K piece would be at the top of your list?

Harry is five now and has been practising his hearts, so I think this is the year. Hint hint—Jeremy.
I also love the Kin bracelet, so I might start with one featuring a fixed, hand-drawn heart from Harry—and add Zoe’s in a few years, once she’s stopped exclusively drawing tornadoes.
