  1. A conversation with Kelly Müller

On sacred rituals, quiet connection, and the transformation of seeing yourself as whole

  1. How has motherhood changed the way you see yourself?

Motherhood has changed me in countless ways, but the most profound shift has been seeing myself as whole - as human. Before kids, I measured myself by job titles and responsibilities, but now, I define myself by the way I show up in the world.

Motherhood has made me prioritise my health - to ensure that I am here for them in the years to come, yet I have also learned to exist fully in the present. To love my daughters fiercely and to be grateful for everything I have, because tomorrow is never promised.

  1. What gesture or action do you hope your children will always recognise as a sign of your love?

Fresh sheets and 'touching noses'. In Māori culture, a hongi is a traditional greeting where two people press their noses and foreheads together symbolising the sharing of breath, interconnectedness and the unity of life.

It's often used at meetings or ceremonies but our iteration is usually at the end of the day, in the quiet of bedtime, as a last gesture before the girls go to sleep. It's a tender and gentle moment that usually ends with a kiss on the forehead.

  1. If you were dropping a hint for Mother's Day, which K&K piece would be at the top of your list?

I was gifted a Hand Drawn Heart Bracelet by my girls for my 40th birthday and have been eyeing up the Paper Link Bracelet to add to my stack.
