IN HONOUR OF HER

IN HONOUR OF HER

  1. A conversation with Lauren Burns

Thoughts on patience, presence, & building a love that’s felt in the little things

  1. What’s a lesson you will carry into motherhood from your own parents?

To be patient, open minded, understanding, encouraging and always there. Both of my parents always fostered an environment of trust so we felt like we could go to them for anything. They definitely still played the role of parents first, but somehow managed to be our best friends at the same time - I want that!

  1. What gesture or action do you hope your child will come to recognise as a sign of your love?

As I’m not yet a parent, I can only answer from my current perspective and I think acts of service are really important. We’re quite a material generation and I feel like a lot of value is placed on receiving gifts, but little things like making breakfast in bed, filling your car up with petrol, prioritising their activities/events and always showing up, are all huge signs of love.

  1. If you were dropping a hint for Mother's Day, which K&K piece would be at the top of your list?

I looooove how the Tiny Diamond Rings look if you stack 3+ together, so probably them… or another diamond letter to add to my necklace once baby Brown has arrived!
