New York, We Have Arrived

  1. New York, We Have Arrived

  1. On April 4th, we opened the doors to our first international retail home - a curated space within the We Wear Australian store on Mercer Street in SoHo, New York. It was such a surreal and exciting moment for us, made even more special by being represented alongside such an incredible collection of Australian brands.

Over the past decade, we've experienced really organic growth in the US. Orders started arriving, enquiries followed and slowly a community formed - one we had never formally reached out to, but who kept finding us anyway. New York in particular. So when We Wear Australian approached us about becoming their exclusive jewellery partner in the US, it felt less like a decision and more like the next natural step.

  1. The store itself is something worth seeing. Designed by Erin Lambrecht Interior Architecture, it's everything we love about Australian design - natural materials, warm light, understated elegance. Art from Australian creatives including First Nations works curated by Nina Fitzgerald of Laundry Gallery sits alongside pieces by independent artists Tom Butterworth, Henryk, Amelia Axton and Tan Arlidge.

We love how Kelly Atkinson, one of the founders, described wanting the space to feel like stepping off the plane in Australia and feeling the warmth of the sun kiss your skin.

  1. It feels like a small piece of home, placed carefully in the middle of one of the world's great cities and we're so proud to be in it alongside brands like Bondi Born, ESSE Studios, Lee Mathews, Silk Laundry, Jasmine Alexa and Viktoria & Woods.

We couldn't help but fly over for the opening in April, which coincided with Bridal Fashion Week - a week we really made the most of. We held private client appointments at the new SoHo space, hosted a dinner with Silk Laundry at Mamo (an iconic Italian New York restaurant) and collaborated with Watters Bridal on a runway presentation at The Waldorf Astoria. We squeezed every moment out of our time there and came back completely invigorated by seeing our pieces against the backdrop of the city.

  1. Inside the SoHo store, we're holding a curated edit of fine jewellery alongside Nouve, our new bridal collection. For the next 12 months, our pieces will be available in-store on Mercer Street - the perfect opportunity for clients who want to try things on, find something they love or start a conversation with our team.

  1. FOLLOW OUR NEW YORK JOURNEY

Over the next few weeks, we'll be sharing more from our US journey, but to start, we just want to say thank you. To our US customers who have followed our journey from afar - this one is for you.
