We recently had the pleasure of assisting beautiful couple, Jamie & Renae, with finding their forever ring — our Eva | Emerald Cut Solitaire.
Read on for an exclusive interview, which details their special proposal journey and experience with our Kate & Kole Bespoke Team.
"Was there anything in particular that drew you to work with us?"
After speaking about getting engaged, one day we decided to show each other the rings we had chosen for one another. Funnily enough, both of our phones had photos of rings from Kate & Kole!
"Which ring did you choose for your forever piece, and why?"
The forever piece I selected for Renae was the Eva Emerald cut ring, for two reasons. Firstly, Renae loved this diamond shape and when I saw it, I instantly knew it would look perfect on her finger.
Secondly, early last year my Great Great Grandma passed away and her name was ‘Eva’ — it honestly felt like fate.
"What was your favourite part of your Kate & Kole experience?"
During my experience with Kate & Kole, I think my favourite part was the communication and the lengths they went to keep me updated the entire time. They also helped me choose the design elements that would work best with my visions of the ring.
I had never done anything like this before and they helped me understand every little detail about the diamond & band. All of this was done via Zoom, as NSW were going through floods at the time and I was unable to visit the studio in person for my appointment.
"Tell us a little bit about your proposal."
On September 2nd 2022, I (Jamie) booked an Airbnb in Kangaroo Valley.
It was a vintage school bus that had been renovated into a tiny home, on a beautiful farm that overlooked a big lake with all sorts of farm animals surrounding us. I set up the space with flowers, fairy lights and all the little touches to make it special.
I took Renae to a winery called Yarrawa Estate to start off the day and calm my nerves, she had no idea what was coming! Just before we arrived I blindfolded her. My best friend Jessica is a photographer, so she was set up ready to capture the whole thing.
The proposal happened in an aisle of flowers, to our favourite song "Peer Pressure" by James Bay. As soon as I took off Renae's blindfold, I got down on one knee and opened the box — to which she let out a squeal and screamed 'Yes!'
It was the best day of our lives, we spent the rest of the night popping many bottles of champagne and dancing under the stars. We're currently still in the love bubble, and I still catch Renae staring constantly at her beautiful ring.
